Reika seems unremarkable at first glance. It is easy to miss the spark of intelligence in her green eyes and realize she is hearing, and probably remembering, everything going on around her. Her father, Matlal, is a druid, and her mother, Itzel, cares for the children in their community. There were hopes that Reika would be a druid as well, but while she had the gifts, she also had the gift of song and the impressive memory needed to become a chronicler and bard.
Reika studied under her mentor Machaya for 10 years. She learned history, reading and writing in several languages in that time. She has traveled for nearly 7 years now, recording history and writing new songs, but she also continues to listen and learn.
Personality:
Between being a halfling and her father's teachings, Reika has a healthy respect for nature that borders on reverence. She avoids danger, preferring to avoid a fight unless there is no other choice. She may seem cheerfully callous to some, but she works in subtle ways to help those in need.
